Weekend
Schedule
We are so excited to welcome you to Encinitas. The ceremony itself will be at 2:30pm on Saturday, October 11, at Cory’s great-aunt’s beautiful coastside home. But we are hopeful that many of you will join us for other planned events on Friday evening and throughout the day on Sunday. The whole weekend will be casual, including the ancillary programming — so no worries if you’re able to attend only a portion of it.
Here is our current plan:
Unless otherwise noted, everything will be at 1036 Neptune Ave.
Drinks starting around 5pm
Dinner around 6pm (casual bites; come anytime)
Bonfire shortly after sunset (6:21pm)
Friday, Oct. 10 (optional)
Saturday, Oct. 11
Arrive by 2:15pm
Ceremony at 2:30pm
Mingling and such
Dinner at 5:30pm (buffet-style again)
Sunset (6:20pm)
You will hear speeches now, and probably also at other times
Dancing and such
For those of you who would like to join, we plan to have semi-structured activities throughout the day on Sunday.
The exact structure and timeline is still coming together, and we will have more information to you soon — but options may include: a walking trip to the Leucadia Farmers’ Market; brunch (coffee, donuts, breakfast burritos) in the morning; a volleyball tournament and touch football at Moonlight Beach; an organized hike at Torrey Pines; birdwatching; aimless lounging / beach time; evening beach run; and things of this nature.
We’ll do some planning and circulate some way for you to indicate your interest as the date approaches. (You are also free to explore Encinitas on your own! Report back to us if you find any hidden gems.)
