By car, Encinitas is about 40 minutes from the San Diego airport and 1.75 hours from Los Angeles International. We recommend flying into San Diego and taking a ride share, but if you find a good deal into LAX that’s a great alternative option. Depending on where you’re coming in from, it’s also worth checking out Hollywood Burbank airport. For those looking for transportation buddies, we will facilitate an airport ride share spreadsheet (closer to the date).

Because we are a family that supports public transportation infrastructure and car alternatives, it would be remiss not to mention that there is a direct Amtrak train — with great views! — connecting Encinitas (the station is Solana Beach) to both San Diego and Los Angeles.

Once you are in greater Encinitas, everything will be close — quite possibly walkable. (Bring flats!) All of the Friday and Saturday events will be at 1036 Neptune Ave. Sunday happenings will be a bit more disbursed, but we’ll help organize that; more details to come. It is a residential street and there will be no dedicated parking; if you plan to come by car, we encourage you to take a ride share from nearby.
